Blanton, Thome lead Phillies over Twins 6-1

Joe Blanton pitched his second complete game of the season and Jim Thome homered for the second day in a row to lead the Philadelphia Phillies to a 6-1 victory

Walters left Wednesday night’s start against the Philadelphia Phillies after only 15 pitches with pain and stiffness. He gave up four straight singles and two runs to begin the game.
